Larry, This is Russell Williams, and as you may recall, you coaxed me into taking a job as a Medical Technologist at xxxxxxxx. I just wanted to give you an update. The job is challenging, but I'm doing very well and I love my coworkers. It really feels like home there. I'm very glad that you had my phone number. I'm also making a lot more money because, since I work 7 days on, 7 days off, 70 hours and get paid for 80, I'm able to pick up extra shifts without it feeling like I'm working any over. Also, I still work PRN at xxxx now and then. Not only that, but I just got a $1.42 and hour raise at xxxxxxx so I'm making even more money. But that's not all. Because of my week off/week on schedule, having a baby is much more feasible for my wife and I. Because she is a night shift ICU RN and has a flexible schedule, she can pick up nights during my week off and her mom will watch the baby every other weekend. We can both stay on night shift (which we both love) and we won't need day care. By the way, once we realized how well this would work, she was pregnant with our first child a month later. She's about four months pregnant now. With the extra money we're building a bigger house and we couldn't be happier. Thanks for the nudge, Larry. I think most people that you find jobs for are ready to leave their old jobs. They just need a little encouragement, motivation, and door-opening help from you. I know you do what you do to pay the bills - just as we all do - but you really do make a difference in people's lives, more than you'll probably ever know.
